SUSPENSION

• Torsion axles work by using rubber cords or cartridges inside the axle tube to handle suspension travel and shock absorption. Torsion axles do not use leaf springs, but instead the compression of the rubber to supply the suspension support needed. Each wheel works independently from one another.

VEHICLE STANDARDS

• Our trailers fully meet the Australian Vehicle Standards. We note that some other trailers on the market do not, leaving the owner with the risk of a fine, defect or invalid insurance. These regulations are where some manufacturers do not comply:

 

• VSB1 (Revision 6) 5.1.1 - Rear overhang must not exceed front load space.

• VSB1 (Revision 6) 6.5.8 - Visibility Requirements - the parts of the mudguards visible from behind must be coloured white or silver if the trailer is not fitted with rear marking plates & must have a white or silver band 75mm deep across the full width of the rear of the trailer. (markings plates are the red and yellow signs commonly seen on trucks)
• VSB1 (Revision 6) 5.2 - Visibility Requirements - Maximum width is 2500mm
